Ukraine identifies the hardest hit sectors of the economy from the war.

The State Statistics Service has published an estimate of Ukraine’s 2022 gross domestic product based on the production method. The data shows that the most significant drop is in construction at 67.6%. The decrease in transport is 44.3%, in the processing industry 43.1%, in energy 32.5%, and in the mining industry 32.2%.

In addition, a 30.9% decrease was recorded in trade and agriculture by 28.4%. Financial and insurance activities lost 15.8%, and information and telecommunications lost 15.4%.

The only growth was seen in Public administration at 35.4%.

The nominal gross domestic product for 2022 is estimated at UAH 5.191T. Final household consumption expenditures fell by 26.7% and general public administration sector spending increased by 18%.
