The Ministry of Economy predicts export growth of UAH 100B in five years.
In the current state of limited logistics resources, the Export Credit Agency’s (ECA) tools will stimulate the export of goods with high added value, said the Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Yulia Svyridenko. Svyridenko added Ukraine must increase its production and export of processed products, which sell for two to three times more than raw materials. In addition, such exports increase jobs within the country. According to Svyridenko, during the ten months of the war, new exports worth UAH 3.06B were supported through the ECA. The focus is on the export of goods with a high added value, the production of which creates jobs and brings income not only to the state but also to local budgets. Correspondingly, it is anticipated that within five years, through the tools of ECA, the export volume will increase by UAH 100B and create 26,000 jobs, though new solutions and tools are needed to accomplish this.
