The head of the Ukrainian parliament seeks support from NATO member countries to invite Ukraine to join the Alliance.

Ruslan Stefanchuk said the Ukrainian parliament has already sent a letter to the speakers and parliament members from NATO member countries regarding their support.

“I have no doubt that we will do everything possible to ensure that 31 countries vote for our membership in NATO,” added the speaker of the Ukrainian parliament.

He notes that the Lithuanian parliament has already adopted a resolution to invite Ukraine to join NATO at the Vilnius summit. Similar negotiations are ongoing with speakers of other parliaments to adopt the same resolutions.

At the same time, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Hungary, Dora Duro, said that Ukraine’s accession to NATO is technically impossible without Russia’s consent.

Meanwhile, Lithuania called for finding the necessary mechanisms to help Ukraine quickly integrate into the North Atlantic Alliance.
