The European Council president discusses with Zelenskyy the creation of a solidarity fund for Ukraine.

The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, has said that he supports the creation of a Solidarity Fund with Ukraine to provide essential services and meet the urgent needs of Ukrainian citizens. Michel said the fund would provide liquidity to support the government further and, in the long term, serve as the foundation for rebuilding a free and democratic Ukraine after the cessation of hostilities. Partners will be able to contribute to the fund through an international donors’ conference.
