The EU plans to allocate €500M of military assistance to Ukraine.

The European Union intends to provide an additional €500M of military aid to Ukraine in the near future, reported DW. The foreign and defense ministers of the EU countries will discuss this increase at their meeting on March 21, but they will not be able to finalize the agreement on it that day. The reason is that Germany needs the consent of the Bundestag before agreeing to the additional spending. The German parliament is scheduled to consider the issue on Wednesday, March 23. The approval of the additional €500M by the EU requires the consent of all 27 member states.
