The European Commission predicts 0.6% growth for Ukraine’s economy this year.

On May 15, according to European Commission, after falling by about 29% last year, the Ukrainian economy is expected to grow by 0.6% this year, and by 4% in 2024, European Commissioner for Economy Paolo Gentiloni said.
He noted that Ukraine’s economy during the war turned out to be “extremely stable”. However, the forecast for Ukraine “is prone to extreme uncertainty and depends to a decisive extent on the development of the war”, the European Commission admits in its spring report.
The EC notes that its forecast publication includes for the first time an overview of economic structural features, the latest indicators and prospects for Ukraine, Moldova, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which the EU Council granted candidate status for EU membership in June and December 2022.
