One of the largest agricultural holdings of Ukraine delivered its products to 44 countries and increased export turnover by 17%. 

In 2023, Astarta Holding, the largest producer of sugar in Ukraine, delivered more than one million tons of its products to world markets and received €325M in export earnings, 17% more than in 2022.

The company noted that the lion’s share of production was exported through the sea corridor from the ports of Odesa. Goods were also delivered overland to Polish ports and via Danube ports.

The main consumers of corn from Astarta were China, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, and for wheat – Spain, Indonesia, Portugal, Sri Lanka. The company mainly supplied sugar, soybean oil, and meal to European markets. Organic products from Astarta were exported to Germany, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic. In total, the agricultural holding exported agricultural products to 44 countries.

Astarta stated that they intend to continue working on diversification and expansion of sales markets, optimization of export logistics, and increase in export volumes.
