MIGA has identified the first projects for military risk insurance in Ukraine.

The pilot risk insurance project in Ukraine by the World Bank institution MIGA has three instances. MIGA has already made an insurance rate offer to the companies involved. Next year, the Ministry of Economy expects that the agency will be able to allocate up to $1B to cover military risks, the head of the Ministry of Economy, Yulia Svyridenko, said. MIGA is currently working with clients in Ukraine as part of a $30M pilot project. These include three finance, logistics, and industrial infrastructure companies. One Ukrainian and two foreign companies are participating in the project. Currently, the parties are at the agreement structuring stage. After the pilot project’s implementation, it will be easier to scale their experience to other cases.
