In July, Ukrainian banks increased the issuance of mortgages by 14.6%.

In particular, 604 mortgage loans for UAH 878.1M were issued in July, the National Bank reported. Compared to June, the volume of loans approved increased by 16.4%, the number – by 14.6%.

The key driver in the mortgage segment is preferential lending within the eOselya program. As of June, the weighted average effective rate on mortgage loans remained at 7.9%.

The most July mortgage loans were issued in Kyiv and the Kyiv region with 247 contracts for UAH 422.8M (48.1% of the total volume), the Rivne region had 46 contracts for UAH 60M, the Lviv region had 32 for UAH 52.1M, and Vinnytsia with 31 for UAH 46M.
