Energy for the Recovery of Ukraine conference results: European ministers assure Ukraine of their support, Hyundai will develop power grids, and Denmark provides €7M.
At the conference in Warsaw, the energy ministers of several European countries assured Ukraine they will help in the face of Russian aggression, and the businesses of these countries are interested in participating in Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction.
European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson emphasized that the EU will continue to support Ukraine in restoring critical energy infrastructure and equipment and with the country’s aspiration of integrating into the EU’s energy markets.
In addition, Ukraine’s state company, Ukrenergo, and South Korean Hyundai signed a memorandum on cooperation in developing electrical networks and transmission systems in Ukraine within the conference’s framework.
Also, Denmark will transfer a €7M grant contribution to Ukraine’s Energy Support Fund to purchase equipment needed to restore the energy infrastructure that has been damaged by Russian attacks.
