About 900 Ukrainians will receive state microgrants to start their own business.

Based on the results of three waves of applications under the micro-grant program, 884 winners will receive funds from the state to open a business, the Ministry of Economy reported. They will receive assistance from UAH 50,000 to 250,000, which will not have to be repaid, for the implementation of business plans, creating almost 2,500 jobs. The first 227 winners of the program have already received money. The total amount of funds provided amounts to UAH 52.7M ($1.4M). Among the most popular types of activity are wholesale and retail trade (27%), processing industry (23%), and accommodation and catering (12%).
