A Ukrainian oil and gas well that can produce 32 tons of oil and 17,000 cubic meters of gas per day has been repaired.
State oil and gas producer Ukrnafta has completed the overhaul of a well with a transition to a higher level of output in the east of Ukraine. According to the company’s preliminary data, the well’s planned daily throughput could be about 32 tons of liquid hydrocarbons and 17,000 cubic meters of gas. In addition, Ukrnafta intends to build a new well in 2023 and will also conduct preparatory work in anticipation of drilling six wells in 2024. The company noted that this will make it possible to maintain and potentially increase production rates. Furthermore, Ukrnafta is conducting a strategic assessment of its reserves and plans to obtain new licensed exploration areas.
