What security guarantees should Ukraine expect at the Vilnius NATO summit?

Kyiv is  preparing to sign agreements on the deterrence of the Russian Federation’s further aggression and security guarantees, which will apply before joining the country joins NATO. Two options are being discussed. The first is bilateral agreements on the supply of weapons and their production. The second is a multilateral agreement, which provides for the military and political actions of the signatories if the Russian Federation attacks Ukraine again.

At the same time, the Razumkov Center’s research shows that, according to Ukrainians, the US (52.1%), Great Britain (45%), and Poland (45%) will provide the most reliable security guarantees for Ukraine. On the other hand, 23% of surveyed Ukrainians see Germany as a reliable guarantor of security, 10.8% see Canada, 4.6% see France, and 4% see Israel.

Only 4.2% and 3.3% of respondents consider China and Turkey, which claim the role of mediators in the negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow but continue trading with Russia.
