What financial and military assistance can Ukraine rely on in 2024?

The US will remain Ukraine’s leading donor, but the situation is most uncertain. In October, President Joe Biden suggested that Congress approve funding for Israel, Ukraine, and other security needs in one package. More than $61B was earmarked for Ukraine. However, the new speaker of the US House of Representatives advocated considering the provision of aid to Ukraine and Israel separately.

The EU wants to allocate €20B in military support and €50B in budgetary support to Ukraine over four years. Germany will double its military aid to Ukraine in 2024 to €8B.

Canada and Norway will allocate €0.8B and €0.6B in military assistance, respectively; The Netherlands – €2.5B in military aid; Denmark – €0.5B; South Korea and Japan – $0.4B and $0.2B in financial support; Great Britain – $0.5B in financial and €2.7B in military aid.

In addition, Ukraine expects to receive $5.4B from the IMF in 2024.
