Volodymyr Zelensky met with the President of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.

Thursday, September 23, 2021

Zelensky stressed the importance of approving at the plenary session two General Assembly resolutions that Ukraine and its partners plan to submit: “The human rights situation in the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Ukraine” and “The problem of the militarization of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Ukraine, as well as parts of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov”. “These documents are a practical tool for protecting human rights in the occupied territories and preventing the further transformation of Crimea into a military base with nuclear weapons – a direct threat to global security,” said the President of Ukraine.
