Ukrainians must insert a phone number to replenish their debit cards with cash.

Starting August 1, cash deposits through ATM terminals require the payer to enter a mobile phone number. Such norms are stipulated by the resolutions of the board of the National Bank, On Amendments to Certain Regulatory Acts of the National Bank of Ukraine and On Amendments to the Instructions on the Procedure for Organizing Cash Work by Banks and Conducting Payment Operations by Payment Service Providers in Ukraine.

Beginning August 1, 2023, details will be added to receipts generated during cash transactions using payment devices, especially through terminals. In particular, receipts based on the results of cash deposit operations using terminals for crediting to accounts must additionally contain the payer’s mobile phone number. These requirements apply to cash deposit operations for account crediting through terminals.
