Ukraine’s privatization revenue in 2024 near a record ₴12B.

The total amount of revenue from large and small privatizations may reach almost ₴12B ($292M) after the completion of all of 2024’s transactions, the Ministry of Economy reports. According to the head of the Ministry Yulia Svyrydenko, 2024 became a record year for privatization revenue and the scale of state-owned facilities sold.

“As a result, the state received additional revenue, and loss-making facilities received new owners and a chance to transform and attract investment in development. This year has shown that privatization is possible and necessary despite the war,” the minister noted.

It is reported that the government has launched a large-scale privatization of facilities worth over ₴250M ($6M). New owners were found for three large facilities: the Ukraine Hotel, which was sold for ₴2.5B, the United Mining and Chemical Company for ₴3.94B, and the Aeroc construction material production plant for ₴1.9B.
