By the end of the year, the Ministry of Infrastructure plans to open a passage for empty trucks through the new Nyzhankovychi – Malhovice crossing point on the border between Ukraine and Poland. Currently, the Nyzhankovichi – Drohobych – Stryi road is being completed, which leads to the new point, the department said. The new checkpoint will allow the movement of cars and trucks with a total weight of up to 3.5 tons. First, empty trucks will be allowed to cross the border, and later the checkpoint will be open to other vehicles and pedestrians. The new checkpoint is expected to relieve congestion at the existing checkpoints significantly and speed up cargo and passenger logistics on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
