The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Mykola Solsky, the Minister of Agriculture of Lithuania, Kestutis Navitskas, and the European Commissioner for Agriculture, Janusz Wojciechowski discussed the possibilities of exporting grain from Ukraine through the port of Klaipeda. In peacetime, Ukraine exported 5 million tons of grain per month, but due to the blockade of Ukrainian seaports in March, it managed to export by rail, road, and Dniester port only 200,000 tons. Today, Ukraine still has 20 million tons of grain from last year’s harvest, which is not needed for domestic consumption and can be exported.
