Ukraine’s earnings from tourism are rising despite the pandemic.

According to the State Agency for Tourism Development, the country is experiencing a gradual increase in revenues from the tourist tax. Despite all the losses suffered by the Ukrainian tourism industry, there is currently recovery and gradual increase in the tourist tax, as evidenced by statistics for 2021. In 2021 the country’s budget received UAH 244M ($8.7M) in tourist tax. This figure is 86.8% higher than in 2020, which amounted to UAH 130.6M ($4.6M), and 20% higher than the same figure in 2019 – when the budget received UAH 196M ($4.6M).
