Ukraine Recovery Conference 2023 has led to more support from allies.

The US will provide more than $1.3B for Ukraine’s reconstruction, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.

This year, the French government will allocate €40M, which will be used to rebuild critical infrastructure, increase Ukraine’s resilience, and prepare for next winter, Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said. Also, France will launch a special mechanism to protect investments from risks, which will be implemented through the French Public Investment bank, and also prepare a multi-year aid package in the form of grants.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said that Germany will provide an additional €381M for humanitarian aid this year.

The EU promises to cover 45% of all Ukraine’s reconstruction financing needs by 2027, which is €50B for four years, said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

The EIB has allocated €840M to implement priority infrastructure restoration projects in 2023.
