Ukrainian Ambassador to NATO Nataliia Galibarenko explained that the political package envisages Ukraine’s desire to bring political relations with the Alliance to a new institutional basis. It concerns, for example, turning the current Ukraine-NATO Commission into a Ukraine-NATO Council, which will enable Ukraine to make certain decisions together with the members of the Alliance rather than separately.
The operational package provides a multi-year plan created for Ukraine, which will help increase interoperability with NATO, including assistance to the Armed Forces and a significant increase in the funding of the currently available comprehensive assistance package.
