Ukraine has requested more weapons and new sanctions at an emergency meeting of EU foreign ministers.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, at an urgent meeting in New York, called on the EU to quickly take decisive measures in response to Russia’s new escalation of the war. In particular, Kuleba requested more weapons to Ukraine and to adopt new, tough sanctions against the Russian Federation. Kuleba emphasized that any pseudo-referendums are worthless. He also called the decision of the President of the Russian Federation to mobilize reservists an act of desperation against the background of the Russian army’s defeats on the battlefield. The minister emphasized that the Ukrainian state is concerned about this move by the Kremlin, and at the same time, it will not stop the Ukrainians. Ukraine will continue to resolutely repel the Russian invaders, protecting its people and liberating its land.
