Ukraine asks investors in Ukravtodor and Ukrenergo to postpone payments.

Ukraine has requested the holders of Ukravtodor and Ukrenergo securities to defer bond payments. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the relevant documents, announced Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. The owners of Ukravtodor bonds worth $700M were offered a proposal to postpone their payments until the end of 2024. A similar offer was made to the owners of Ukrenergo securities for $825M. Shmyhal stressed that these decisions were related to Ukraine’s budget policy priorities during the war. “Now, the state is consolidating all available resources for priority needs. Financing the army, preparing for the heating season, paying pensions, and restoring critical infrastructure,” the prime minister emphasized.
