Ukraine and the West are discussing a counteroffensive.

As Bloomberg notes, Ukraine is armed with an arsenal worth more than $30B, which was provided by its allies, and is preparing for a counteroffensive that could push Russia to decide to end the war.

If Ukraine breaks through the front line, the troops and equipment remaining at its disposal may become critical. European governments have promised to produce more munitions, but whether this can be done in time to meet the needs of the war remains a question.

At the same time, a high-ranking US military official, Dave Butler, is convinced that the Russian occupiers will be surprised by the upcoming counteroffensive by the military. His colleague Martin O’Donnell added that the Armed Forces has received 600 types of Western weapons and ammunition for the counter-offensive. This is more than any single army in the world has.

At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that Ukraine still needs time to prepare for a counteroffensive and to receive even more weapons from its partners to minimize military casualties.
