The Ukrainian government will launch a customs visa-free program beginning October 1.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved resolutions allowing Ukraine to join the convention on common transit procedure that will simplify formalities involved in the trade in goods, known as, customs visa-free, the Ministry of Finance reported. In particular, all Ukrainian businesses will be able to use authorizations and simplifications provided by the joint transit procedure. This includes about 35 member countries of the convention. Currently, only certain enterprises have access to these simplified procedures. In addition, the government has defined a list of goods that can be transported through the customs territory of Ukraine without providing customs with security for the payment of duties for the duration of martial law and for one year after its termination. The list was created in consideration of the goods needed for the country’s defensive capabilities.
