The seaport of Pivdennyi has set a record of cargo turnover

. According to the General Dispatch Administration of the South Seaport, some port operators have set an absolute record of a monthly congestion, handling about 5.77 M tons of cargo in December 2021. This is 156.7 thousand tons more than the previous maximum cargo turnover achieved in April 2020. In 2021, 16.7 M tons of cargo were processed, with the sum of 13.8 M for exported cargoes, 2.14 M import cargoes, and 747,000 tons of transit and cabotage. Export cargo accounts for 83% of the port’s turnover.
