The port of Olvia has set a new absolute record for cargo handling.

In 2021, 5.15 M tons of cargo (+ 31.6%) were transshipped in the harbor, which is 1.24 M tons more than as actualized last year, reported port administration. The Ukrainian agricultural sector on the other hand made the largest contribution to the record of transshipment with the sum of 2.87 million tons (+57.1%) of grain cargo. In December 2021, about 564.75 thousand tons (+118.5%) were processed in the port area. The export cargo was 482.59 thousand tons, cabotage was 68.22 thousand tons, imported cargo – 13.73 thousand tons, and transit – 0.21 thousand tons.
