The rapid increase in gas prices will lead to price increases in all services in Ukraine.

The gas tariffs for business will grow inevitably because the government is not going to compensate these – unlike the social tariffs. “One should expect an increase of the price of almost all kinds of services because the gas for boiler houses or the heating of shopping malls will get more expensive. Then, prices for services of all kinds will grow, including gyms, swimming pools, shopping malls and the rent of buildings”, said Oleg Popenko, the head of the Union of Consumers of Household Services (112.international). “The production of cement and bricks requires natural gas, which means that the production process could get more costly, too”.
