The Mykolaiv Nika-Tera Seaport has suffered UAH 1B in losses during the war.
Russian troops have attacked the port more than 10 times, Group DF reported. The amount of damages is a preliminary estimate and may be much higher. One of the most significant strikes by the Russians was on June 4, 2022. At that time, three warehouses with a total area of more than 13,000 square meters and a total storage capacity of 105,000 tons of grain and oil crops were destroyed. Approximately 35,000 tons of sunflower meal were destroyed in warehouses.
Additionally, the port suffered substantial property losses including grain silos, hoppers, a grain drying complex, railway infrastructure, locomotives, various handling equipment, and motor vehicles.
Work on restoring the Nika-Tera port is currently not underway because Mykolaiv is under constant fire, and the port is completely closed to ships. During the war, the company still managed to ship more than 237,000 tons of grain and 27,000 tons of corn from the port’s warehouses.
