The Latvian Parliament calls for the start of negotiations for Ukraine to join the EU, and Austria implores the EU not to give Ukraine priority over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At its meeting on November 23, the Latvian Seimas adopted a statement in support of the start of negotiations on Ukraine and Moldova’s accession to the European Union. Deputies called for negotiations to begin before the end of the year.

However, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg, said that the European Union needs to consolidate its influence in Ukraine and Bosnia and Herzegovina to counter Russian influence, and stability in both regions is equally important.
