The EU will provide €335M in aid and goes to the US to support Ukraine.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the EU Support for Recovery and Reforms financing program. After its signing, Ukraine will receive financing from the European Commission. As the head of the government, Denys Shmyhal, noted, the funds will be directed to the reconstruction of infrastructure, particularly energy, business assistance, anti-corruption measures, environmental protection, and digitization.

Meanwhile, European politicians intend to visit the US to strengthen support for Ukraine – in response to calls from some lawmakers in the Republican Party to reduce the aid, military equipment, and finances sent to Kyiv.

“We must find ways to reach the public on both sides of the Atlantic“, said Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis.

“The Baltic states and other countries with close ties to Ukraine will speak out in favor of continued support, which may work quite well if the position is laid out not only by American politicians but also by those who depend on this aid“, explained Landsbergis.
