Swiss Stadler to build two plants in Kharkiv.

The Acting Mayor of Kharkiv Mayor, Ihor Terekhov, said that “On October 6, a contract will be signed with the Swiss company Stadler, and Elektrovazhmash. Stadler is one of Europe’s leading producers of transport infrastructure including trams, trains, and subway cars. In Kharkiv, Stadler will build two plants which will bring 4,000 jobs to the local economy. After signing the agreement, the City Council will begin negotiations with the Stadler about a potential M&A with Electrovazhmash,” it said.
