At a recent meeting with representatives of the diaspora in New York, President Volodymyr Zelensky reiterated his pledge to provide Ukrainian citizenship for non-residents of Ukrainian origin. According to some experts, this may not even require a constitutional amendment. If the president is present in parliament during the vote, the constitutional majority for dual citizenship might also be attained, Radio Svoboda has reported.
