Russia opens its hunting season for Ukraine’s energy infrastructure; 40 buildings are damaged, and 20 people are injured.

The consequence of the first enemy attack on energy infrastructure in six months include damage to energy facilities in the western and central regions of Ukraine, Ukrenergo reported. Almost 49,000 consumers in 90 settlements remained without electricity. During the attack, electricity networks were damaged in the Rivne, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, and Kharkiv regions.

On September 21, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Kyiv, Rivne, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, and Drohobych. The aggressor state fired 43 cruise missiles at Ukraine, but Ukraine’s air defenses shot down 38. As a result of the attack, almost 40 buildings were damaged, and two dozen people were injured, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
