In January Ukraine’s export of iron, ferrous metals, and scrap decreased.

In January 2023, Ukraine export of pig iron in natural terms declined by 29.6% compared to the same period last year to 135,070 tons. Exports in monetary terms decreased by 47.4% to $48.51M, according to data from the State Customs Service. The export of ferrous metals decreased by $165.69M in January, which is 84% less than in the same period last year. The export of metal products decreased by 48.8% in January to $62.13M. In January 2023, Ukrainian enterprises increased the export of scrap metal by 45.5% compared to the same period last year to 8,280 tons. However, in monetary terms, the export of scrap showed negative dynamics, decreasing by 8.5% to $2.36M.
