In 2022, renewable energy producers received UAH 25B.

Since the beginning of 2022, the Guaranteed Buyer state enterprise has paid out UAH 24.8B to producers of electricity from renewable sources. According to the company’s data, Guaranteed Buyer paid UAH 13.9B for green energy purchased in 2022, UAH 8.5B for 2021 and UAH 2.4B for 2020. Thus, the percentage of owed payments made by the Guaranteed Buyer since the beginning of the year is 46.9%. In addition, the state-owned enterprise paid in full for the electricity purchased in January. The lowest level of payments to electricity producers was for May (19%), April (19.2%), and March (20.1%). Since 2022, the Guaranteed Buyer has purchased 6.454 million MWh of green electricity. The largest share, 68%, was solar, with 21% wind, 9% bioenergy, and 2% hydropower.
