Hungary has launched a railway terminal for the export of Ukrainian grain.
Hungary has completed the construction of a large railway terminal on the border with Ukraine, which will allow the development of an efficient, safe land route for the supply of Ukrainian grain to the ports of the northern Adriatic, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Sijarto. The terminal can transship up to one million containers annually from a wide track to a narrow track. The transshipment center in the border town of Fenieslitke will employ 500 people, with an investment of $71.M in its construction. With the advent of the terminal, the fastest and most efficient route will be opened for Ukrainian grain to the ports of the northern Adriatic, said the Hungarian minister. He pointed out that the productivity of the new terminal is twice that of all railway transshipment capacities on the border between Belarus and Poland.
