Horizon Capital has raised $254M for Ukraine; the first investments are expected by the end of May.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the head of Horizon Capital, Lenna Koszarny, and international investors from eight countries: the US, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, as well as two international organizations.

Representatives from Horizon Capital announced that they had attracted $254M to their new fund Horizon Capital Growth Fund IV (HCGF IV), which will invest in Ukrainian companies.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine is interested in investment and cooperation that will contribute to developing the country’s economy, industry, modernization, and progress of new technologies. The president named the development of the IT sector, energy industry, and agrarian business among the priority areas.

As Koszarny specified, the first investments are planned to arrive in 30 days because Ukrainian entrepreneurs need capital now.
