Global marketplaces have canceled commissions for Ukrainians.

Many global marketplaces decided to abolish commission for sellers from Ukraine, announced Ukrposhta. The initiative was spearheaded by Etsy, eBay, Joom, Wish, and Shopify. In addition, some e-commerce platforms have introduced bonuses for Ukrainians. In particular, Wish returned the February monthly commission for all sellers from Ukraine and canceled all commissions for Ukrainian sellers for six months. Etsy “zeroed out” seller accounts for February and provided instructions for a temporary “store vacation”. Shopify will allocate funds for humanitarian aid through its partner, Flexport. Joom, prior to the settlement period, paid all sellers and assured them that no penalties would be applied to Ukrainian stores.
