Foreign companies have invested in several Ukrainian startups.
Ukrainian AI startup Harmix has raised $500,000 from Canadian investors. Harmix is a Ukrainian service based on artificial intelligence that automatically selects music for videos. In addition, the American company Vast, which plans to build a private space station in Earth orbit, bought the startup Launcher. The Launcher engineering team and its chief designer Ihor Nikishchenko are Ukrainians. He worked for over 30 years in the Pivdenne design bureau. The entire Launcher team will transfer to the acquiring company. The startup’s 14 Ukrainian employees, who relocated to a new office in Bulgaria in response to the war, will also work for Vast. After the deal, Vast will receive Launcher developments: the Orbit orbital tractor and the E-2 rocket engine. Moreover, the American company ZenBusiness, valued at $1.7B, bought Ukrainian Logaster, which developed an online logo designer.
