Food prices in Ukraine will increase by 5-7% by the end of winter,

said the Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, Denys Marchuk.

He noted, “There will be no sharp price increases because there are currently no facts that would lead to that occurring. Inflation is under control. The only thing that can be partially reflected in prices is the exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar.”

He added that exchange rate fluctuations could also affect imported products.

“There are no price-increasing factors within the country except for the seasonality factor: the harvesting and storage of vegetables and electricity needs. On average, prices are expected to rise by no more than 5-7% during January and February,” said Marchuk.
