Even before the approval of the $61B aid bill, the US will send a new $1B aid package to Ukraine in April,

said the Ambassador of Ukraine to the US, Oksana Markarova. The Biden administration is preparing “a large-scale package that will help meet the needs of Ukraine on the battlefield immediately.” It will include armored vehicles, as well as anti-aircraft defense and artillery.

Politico notes that the US will supply Ukraine with a new batch of Bradley armored personnel carriers, Humvee jeeps, and M113 armored personnel carriers.

President Zelenskyy also reported that Biden confirmed the provision of long-range ATACMS missiles in this package.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg writes that the government of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is putting pressure on the White House administration to supply Ukraine with at least one more Patriot anti-missile system. Other equipment Berlin has requested includes Samp/T surface-to-air systems, NASAMS and Hawk missiles, Iris-T systems, and spare parts for them.
