EU leaders agree to set up a Solidarity Fund for Ukraine’s reconstruction.

The European Council approves establishing a Solidarity Trust Fund in Ukraine and invites its international partners to participate without delay. The European Council called for an international conference to raise funding under the Solidarity Trust Fund of Ukraine and promised to continue technical assistance to help Ukraine carry out the necessary reforms. “Destruction and enormous losses have been inflicted on Ukraine as a result of Russian military aggression, and the European Union is committed to supporting the Ukrainian government with its immediate needs and, as soon as the Russian offensive weakens, to rebuild a democratic Ukraine,” said the European Council President, Charles Michel.
