During the war, international bus traffic has increased by almost 300%.

According to the director of the PaxUkraina company, Maksym Sklyarenko, since the beginning of the war the company has sold more than 1.5 million tickets for international bus transits worth UAH 2.2B. The purchased ticket volume increased by 171% compared to the pre-war period. As he further specified, 1.2 million tickets were sold for cross-border travel in May-July, while in 2021, for the same period, 449,000 tickets were sold. Sklyarenko emphasized that in the summer of 2021, the bus transport market consisted of 47% domestic and 53 % international transportation. However, with the beginning of the war, it completely changed and today the share of international transportation is 86% against 14% domestic. The director added that the increase in the number of tickets sold for entry to individual EU countries exceeded the figure for 2021 tenfold.
