Congress members have urged Biden to provide ATACMS to Ukraine.

The US House Foreign Affairs Committee called on the Biden administration to immediately give Ukraine ATACMS missiles. The chairman of the committee, Republican congressman Michael McCaul, said in his speech that ATACMS missiles are critical for the success of Ukraine’s counteroffensive.

These weapons have an effective range of more than 300 km, which allows Ukrainian forces to strike the territories held by the Russians. In addition, ATACMS can be used to attack Iranian drones in Crimea, McCall added.

The congressional representative emphasized that fears about the situation’s escalation are unjustified. “Ukraine promised not to use them for strikes in Russian territory,” McCall noted.
