Auchan will open 16 new stores which are different from their traditional hypermarket format,

reported Interfax. The company says that by the end of the year, there will be 16 such stores. The pick-up point format combines a traditional home shop with an online ordering point. If a customer wants to enter the stand-alone store, he will need to have the application “Auchan,” which will allow receiving a QR code, which is the key to the store. Then the customer makes his purchases and pays at the self-service checkout.
