Antonov will build the world’s largest new An-225 Mriya aircraft.
According to the director of the Antonov state enterprise, Vladyslav Vlasyk, the company’s employees are already working on a new plane. The new aircraft will be created utilizing the second An-225, which was partially constructed in the 80s but has never been finished. The new aircraft is almost 70% ready and is located on the Antonov plant’s property. Outwardly, the new Mriya will be no different from the plane destroyed by the Russians in Gostomel. However, inside, it will be a completely new aircraft. Vlasyk added that the construction requires a lot of money, but international donors are ready to provide it. An-225 Mriya is the world’s largest heavy-duty transport jet aircraft. It was designed and built in the Antonov plant in the 80s, and only one plane was completed.
