Annual inflation continues to slow in Ukraine, down to 17.9% in April.

According to the State Statistics Service, annual inflation was 21.3% in March. In particular, the consumer market’s prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 0.4%. The price of pork rose the most, by 7.4%. The prices for beef, poultry, fermented milk products, soft drinks, fish and fish products, bread, and vegetables increased by 0.3% to 1.8%.

At the same time, eggs fell by 8.7%, and processed grain products, sunflower oil, fruit, rice, milk, and sugar fell by 0.3% to 1.9%. Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 1%.

The increase in healthcare sector prices was 1%, primarily due to a 1.2% increase in the price of pharmaceutical products. At the same time, transport prices decreased by 0.7% due to a 2.4% price decrease in fuel and lubricants. Fares in railway passenger transport rose by 0.8%.
