The Ministry of Defense has increased domestic weapons procurement from 44% to 71% over the year.
From January to July 2025, the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) increased contracts for domestic weapons by ₴158B ($3.8B) compared to the same period last year. This has led to the share of domestically produced weapons and equipment in total DPA procurement rising to 71.4% (compared to 44.1% a year earlier). DPA Director Arsen Zhumadilov emphasized, “When there are clear rules and a clear logic of interaction, manufacturers scale up. The growth in contracts with Ukrainian enterprises is a result of
